MANAGER HR AND ADMINISTRATION (1)
Reports to: Managing Director and Chairman
General Purpose and Scope
• Plan, direct, and coordinate human resource management activities of KOTES to maximize the strategic use of human resources and maintain functions such as employee compensation, recruitment, personnel policies, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications
• Holders of a Master Degree in thefield of Public/Business Administration or Human Resource Management from a recognised institution plus at least 20 years of relevantworking experience. The candidate should at least beSS years of age and having experience in Public Services. Age: 55 years and above
Duties
• Maintaining and updating personnel records;
• Facilitates, coordinate recruitment, selection process, confirmation and promotion of staff;
• Interpreting and implementing labour laws and staff regulations;
• Dealing with employees’terminal benefits and implementing approved incentive plans;
• Prepares salaries, benefits and deductions to ensure employees are paid accurately and timely.
Analyses HR Data, to identify risks and opportunities, to improve KOTES effectiveness and efficiencies;
• Compiles, captures and maintains updates HR systems to ensurethat the Data is accurate and readily available for preparation of various management reports;
• Interprets, participate in disciplinary hearings and consistently implements the I-IA policies and procedures to ensure the appropriate understanding by employees and therefore minimizes grievances and related quarrels
• Administers and implement staff welfare and benefits program mes consistent with em p loyees’contracts of employment;
• Administer performance appraisals process at KOTES including coordinating appraisal meetings for units; • Identifying training needs and preparing and executing training programme of KOTES;
• Coordinating human resources allocation and training of staff in the KOTES;
• Ensuring performance/financial targets are met; and
• Performs any other duties as might be assigned by the Immediate Supervisor.
Terms of Employment
• Terms of employment will be on three (3) years renewable contracts.
