FIELD EPIDEMIOLOGY TECHNICAL ADVISOR I-TECH
International
Training and Education Centre for the (I-TEC) Tanzania in partnership
with the centre for disease control and prevention and the Ministry of
Health and Social Welfare through the Tanzania field epidemiology and
laboratory training program will implement an intermediate course of
field epidemiology. The goal of
an intermediate course is to strengthen capacity of the workforce to
conduct surveillance outbreak investigations, epidemiology research and
data driven decision making at all levels of the public health system
with emphasize on the regional and district level in Tanzania.

The
field epidemiology technical advisor will responsible for ensuring the
successful implementations and evaluations of the FEELTP intermediate
course. The TA will work
closely with the CDC Tanzania FLETTP resident advisor and staff. I-TECH
Tanzania staff, settled –based senior fellow/epidemiologist the Ministry
of Health Community Development Gender, Elderly and Children and other
key stakeholder
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Ensure
that all aspects of the standardized FLEETP curriculum are implemented
according to I-TECH/FEELTP learning objectives, procedures and timelines
· Coordinate all didactic session and field activities including guest lectures and site visit
· Work with the senior fellow to manage the course website on canvas
· Work with CDC FEELTP to ensure all trainees are receive training in outbreak investigations
· Collaborate with CDC and MOHDGE leadership to secure local accreditation of the course
· Provide supervision to trainee both in-class and I he field to ensure successful completions of assignment
· work
with I-TECH/CDC collaborations FELTP, MOHDGEC and other local
collaborations to establish a professional network to support cared of
graduates
· Collaborate with the senior fellow and CDC to implement an evaluations of the FELTP intermediate course
· Contribute the quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports to I-TECH headquarters and donors
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Master degree in public Health or equivalent advanced public health training
· Graduation
from field epidemiology training program or at least 2 years experience
working in disease surveillance outbreak response and observational
epidemiology
· Demonstrated management experience
· Experience in training and mentor ship
· Demonstrated ability to communicate Cleary and persuasively in written and oral forms
· Demonstrated ability to work in fast paced environment adhere to timeliness
· Strong organizations skills and detailed oriented environment and sensitive to confidential information’s
· Proficient in Microsoft office word, excel, and power point
· Familiar with software for data analysis
· Fluency in written and spoken English
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
· Experience with adult educations strategies and curriculum design
· Experience in conducting public health research and data analysis
· Experience working in the Tanzania public system
· Fluency in KIWSAHIL
