Role overview
The volunteer will be expected to support VSOT to carry out health (Maternal and Newborn Health -MNH) research that will be used to develop health sector strategic plan ( Signature programme) and the level of intervention necessary to address the found challenges.
Skills, qualifications and experience
The candidate should have experience in research work and public health/ medical education background. Experience in working in development will be an added advantage
Allowance and accommodation
All volunteers have an allowance paid in local currency. The allowance meets reasonable living expenses in country, but will not be enough to send money home.
VSO works with some of the poorest communities in the world which means accommodation varies and will be basic.
