CORE JOB DESCRIPTION
Responsible for managing the information technology functions of VTL which include:
IT systems Acquisition and Implementation
Backup and Storage operations management
Systems Capacity and demand Management
Information Technology Programme Planning and Organization including Strategy
Information Technology budget, financial management and administration
To ensure adequate controls and security is in place in our IT and Billing systems core elements and the business is protected as per the security and compliance guide
Systems Management – Day to day systems management, performance monitoring, utilization monitoring and database optimization.
Responsible in managing and supporting service deliver for all IT Servers and all Billing Servers Hardware and Databases – as per the ITIL Model.
Cost – Strive to manage the cost in all systems projects and to cater creative systems solution for the organization to save cost in its daily operations.

Experience and Qualifications
B.Sc. In Information Technology /computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering
Extensive experience in the IT industry.
Management training e.g. MBA, VEP
Analytical skills
An extensive and broad knowledge of IT technology and principles.
Min. 2 years in Telecoms
Position requires good operational understanding of Telecoms and Telecom operation
Min. 2 years project management experience
Position requires experience in managing complex projects with tight deadlines.
Min. 5 years IT experience
Position requires broad IT knowledge and experience in IT operations and IT Projects.
Min. 2 years management experience
Position requires matrix management of permanent and contract staff.
