CAMRIS International is seeking an Economist for an upcoming indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide support services to improve data-driven decision making, planning, and implementation for USAID/Tanzania and its implementing partners and local partners, including the National Bureau for Statistics and other Tanzanian institutions.
Note: This position is contingent on contract award.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, planning, and implementation of the evaluation throughout the project’s three phases.
  • Liaise with USAID staff, implementing partners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide staff with data analysis training.
  • Mentor junior staff.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in economics, international development, social science, or a related field.
  • At least 10+ years of professional experience and an understanding of issues related to sustainable economic development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, supervision, and management skills.
  • Ability to work with and lead diverse teams.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili is required.
  • East Africa experience is considered a plus.
  • Experience with USAID is preferred.
