Position Type: Full Time & also contractual basis
Job Shift: Day (Night only where need arise)
Main role:
To guide and accompany guests travelling to the various destinations in Tanzania (National parks, Historical & other tourist sites) and ensure that clients get excellent holiday experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Consistently deliver a high level of guest service and satisfaction
• Plan, organize and provide leadership to guests touring various destination of interest.
• Provide personalized service, finest educational experience and seamless travel arrangement.
• Provide in-depth knowledge about the Tanzania rich heritage, its culture, religion, Art scene and current affairs
• Offer a wide knowledge of the wild both flora and fauna
• Deal directly with guest issues and concerns; ensuring guest’s satisfaction is effectively achieved.
• Assist and accompany guest during optional activities and meals.
• Communicate range of information on itineraries before Safari to the destinations of guest interest.
• Inform guests of arrival and departure time at each destination on the itinerary
• Respond to guest’s question and offer help to any problem that may arise.
• Provide report for each trip, in the requested format.
Qualifications:
• Certificate/ Diploma in Tourism and Wildlife.
• A registered member of TTGA
• You must have more than 10 years’ experience as a Tour Guide.
Key Competencies:
• You should have been in all national parks in northern circuit more than 200 times in each national park (Manyara, Tarangire, and Serengeti & Ngorongoro Conservation Area).
• You must have been in other national parks not less than 30 times (The national park/Game reserves) such as Selous Game reserves, Katavi, Ruaha, Kitulo, Mikumi, Udzungwa,Gombe stream, Mahale Mountain, Gombe, Rubondo, Saanane,Saadani and Mkomazi national parks)
• Excellent guests relations skills
• Excellent communicator with great confidence
• Affable , intelligent and experienced travel companion
• Ability to make the logistics of travel irresistibly effortless.
• MUST have good knowledge in English and fluent in either GERMAN, SPANIAD OR ITALIAN language.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Knowledgeable in Flora , Fauna ,social ,Art and Cultural highlights
• Familiarity and knowledge of key high end holiday destinations in Tanzania.
• Good in phone & radio call communication.
