Horticultural Association (TAHA) is an apex private sector member based
organization mandated to develop and promote horticultural crops
(flowers, fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs and horticultural seeds) in
Tanzania. TAHA's goal is to improve the growth and competitiveness of
horticultural industry in the country for social and economic gains.
TAHA is a strong voicing platform, representing farmers at all levels,
processors, exporters and service providers in the horticultural
industry in Tanzania. TAHA is looking for motivated and highly
experienced individuals to fill the following
Duty Station: Arusha
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Review and or update the TAHA procurement manual and ensure compliance by the organization.
Lead or provide guidance in the procurement of office goods and services as per the TAHA policy/procurement manual.
Ensure proper collection and filing of purchase documents and retrieval system
Maintain a proper service providers database for easy of reference.
Efficient and effective management of TAHA vehicles fleet in line with the established policies and practices
Events Management: Lead person in the management and coordination of TAHA and industry events i.e. planning, team coordination and implementation.
Construction work: Provide general oversight to the TAHA construction works from the conceptualization to the final/completion stage.
Establishment and maintenance of sound assets inventory management system
Participate in the audit exercise in close collaboration with the finance department
Qualifications:
Advanced degree in Business Administration, Procurement or related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in procurement and assets management. Strong written and communication skills. Coordination, judgment and decision making skills

Position: Marketing Manager
Duty Station: Arusha
Main Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct thorough market surveys to identify market opportunities at the local, regional and international levels
Analyze market opportunity reports and ensure timely dissemination to industry practitioners
Develop market requirement guidelines for different markets (local, regional, international) and ensure they are well disseminated to farmers for easy market access facilitation
Prepare market profiles for horticultural products with good market potential
Establish and lead in the implementation of a practical model for linking farmers to available market opportunities
Provide leadership in the collection and analysis of market driven data to inform stakeholders on various marketing aspects
Prepare and provide input (price data, marketed volumes, product sources etc.) to TAHA information platforms including TAHA Information System (TIS)
Prepare periodic market trends to inform and guide farmers on their production and marketing plans
Participate in the development and implementation of effective operational model for TAHA's collection centers/pack-house facilities to ensure maximum utilization of the facilitates
Provide leadership to ensure that the collection centers are well linked to production clusters
Ensure that the necessary services such as logistics are available for successful operationalization of the collection center.
Identify farmer’s capacity gaps on marketing and related issues that are affecting farmers productivity
Design and ensure effective execution of capacity building programs around farmers' market access and coordination matters.
Qualifications:
A degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Agribusiness, Economics or related field. Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marketing in agriculture or related sector. Strong written and communication skills. Ability to perform cost-benefit analyses and assessing risks. A creative thinker who is passionate in designing marketing solutions in horticulture.
