CAMRIS International is seeking an Economist for an upcoming indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract to provide support services to improve data-driven decision making, planning, and implementation for USAID/Tanzania and its implementing partners and local partners, including the National Bureau for Statistics and other Tanzanian institutions.
Note: This position is contingent on contract award.
Responsibilities
  • Assist with the design, planning, and implementation of the evaluation throughout the project’s three phases.
  • Liaise with USAID staff, implementing partners, and other project stakeholders.
  • Provide staff with data analysis training.
  • Mentor junior staff.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in economics, international development, social science, or a related field.
  • At least 10+ years of professional experience and an understanding of issues related to sustainable economic development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, supervision, and management skills.
  • Ability to work with and lead diverse teams.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Kiswahili is required.
  • East Africa experience is considered a plus.
  • Experience with USAID is preferred.

Tanzania Fellowship of Evangelical Students (TAFES) is a Christian-based organization that was, registered in Tanzania in June 1990. TAFES is affiliated to the International Fellowship of Evangelical Students (IFES). TAFES aims at reaching students with the gospel of Jesus Christ and it equips University and College students with the Scripture in Evangelism, Discipleship and Leadership Development thereby transforming the Campus, Church and the Society.
TAFES is seeking to recruit a suitable and qualified person to fill the post of NATIONAL DIRECTOR (ND) to be based in its Head office in Dar es Salaam. The overall job purpose is to provide leadership and strategic direction forTAFES.The ND shall, upon TAFES Governing Council (TGC) approval, be responsible for all policy formulation and implementation, resource mobilization, performance management as well as partnerships and networks to ensure that the TAFES vision, mission and objectives are achieved. Job Qualifications:
The candidate should be a holder of a Bachelor Degree and/or Possession of a post graduate qualification. S/he must be a Born again Christian with at least three years experience of working in Interdenominational Christian fellowships preferably in Universities and Colleges. The incumbent should have an understanding of TAFES and be committed to its vision, mission and core values. The candidate should have strong soft skills, leadership character and be computer literate.

ADMINSTRATIVE FINANCIAL ASSISTANT

BASIC FUNCTIONS

The administrative finance assistant will be responsible for managing day to day office activities information’s flow the office logistic for meetings conferences and organizing a tracking numerous assignment and process in support of HIV program implementations in the southern highlands

MAJOR DUTIES
  • Support staff on all aspect of coordination’s facilitate and manage local logistic for activities planning budgeting and execution
  • S/HE is responsible for coordinating program documentations eg. Portfolio review annual reports strategy related documents
  • The incumbent will corroborate and coordinate closely with implementing teams including regional health management teams
  • The incumbent will work on record keeping
  • The incumbent will work on budget and fiscal issues

ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Manage logistic short – term and long term temporary duty visitors
  • Contact the cooperatives agreement receipt and other external collaborations partners to obtain updates and data required for routine and special reports
  • Maintain a spreadsheet or other data files for monitoring and documenting the status of programmatic progress for HIV clinical services activities
  • Assist in filing applicable administrative request and reports
  • Perform any other administrative duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Education: completion of BA degree in Business Accounting is required. A masters degree is an added advantage
  • Experience of 3 years progressive experience in financial administrative is required
  • Post entry training accounting 1
  • Experience of working with understanding with HIV/AIDS donors funded programs , knowledge of points of contact and format for communications with stake holder especially the government procedure prepare vouchers and administrative approvals
  • fluency in English and Kiswahili Level IV writing and speaking
  • familiar with computers data processing, spread sheet, power point, and accounting is required

PROGRAM OFFICER – HIV/AIDS TREATMENT

The program officer treatment will be up-to-date on all nations HIV/AIDS and related strategies activities partners and other stake holders undertaken and provide day-to-day coordination on technical leadership in care and treatment activities quality and improvements and the Zonal HIV/AIDS response initiative in the Southern Highlands

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Incumbent services as a public health expert on HIV/AIDS treatment for the implementations and monitoring HIV/AIDS treatment activities in the southern Highlands
  • Incumbent work closely with the technical program manager to make sure that treatment programs are carried as designed in liaison with the R/CMTS and IPS medical staff to provide update information’s on treatment of HIV/AIDS patient
  • Jobholder is the treatment program officer at the Mbeya satellite office in the implementations of treatment programs and activities through and provides technical monitoring and evaluations on the treatment cascade provides technical assistance and guidance of the government of Tanzania
  • Performing other duties as may be assigned by technical program manager

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  • educations MD masters degree in public health is required, masters degree in business administration’s or nursing , epidemiology behavior or social science is an added advantage
  • prior work experience 3 years working of mid-level public health experience in developing, implementing and evaluating HIV/AIDS programs or other relevant public health programs that involve clinical practice coordination’s with an international agency or implementing partner is require
  • language proficient level IV English and Kiswahili fluency written and speaking is required
  • the position required a person with considerable clinical and technical expertise to manage program in complex mulct disciplinary team environment it is important incumbent have a solid understanding of how HIV/AIDS donors, stakeholders and other support the government
  • the incumbent must have excellent organizations skills abilities outstanding written and oral communications skills and be able to effectively promote positive and results oriented interpersonal skills organizations relations. Ability to use computer software programs for internal management and representations is required, work constructively in diverse team structure able to analyses, understanding and discuss new program design
